FOR YOUR VALENTINE.....

These prints from original paintings I did of a Scherenschnitte which means "scissor cuts" in German, is the art of papercutting design. The art work often has symmetry within the design, and common forms include silhouettes, valentines, and love letters. The art tradition was founded in Switzerland and Germany in the 16th century, and was brought to Colonial America in the 18th century by immigrants who settled primarily in Pennsylvania.
I have framed this in a wood frame with a satin ribbon for hanging. This would make such a romantic little gift for a loved one this Valentines.
The print is 4 inches by 4 inches and the frame measures 6 1/2 inches square.
Check them out on my ETSY site....
