FRAKTUR PROGRAM



On August the 25th a special slide presentation and lecture put on by the HRHS Museum was enjoyed by all. Jeffrey Evans of Jeffrey S. Evans and Associates gave a lecture:
"A Celebration of Life: Shenandoah Valley Frakturs and Related Works on Paper" . An examination of newly discovered artists, reattributions, and ongoing research in the field. In addition, he presented a comparative study of cultural symbolism employed on Shenandoah Valley fraktur and the decorative arts of the region.
